Better than everything and it's legal to buy in the US: Baby Woodrose seeds. Grows wild in Hawaii. Just take 3 seeds, crush and swallow. Massive hallucinations lasting for many hours. Bonus: powerful aphrodisiac properties.

I smoked it once, just because I'd heard the effects were so short-lived. I found myself in a side-scroller videogame, like one of those levels that scroll, and you die if you touch the left side of the screen. Well, the left side of the screen was coming for me, so I was on the move. In the end, it turned out that I went to each of the neighboring apartments on my floor and pounded on their door to let me in. One of the doors did get opened and I went running into that person's apartment. Luckily, I was very well-acquainted with that neighbor.

EDIT: Oddly enough, I remember being very excited and anxious to keep moving, but I wasn't afraid. I guess it seemed more like being in a game that everyone around me was playing, and I was trying to marshal everybody, like "fuck we gotta go!"

I had a conversation with Master Shake and he was selling hot dogs at a field but there was no one playing any games. Everything turned into the inside of a pinball machine on me.
