As much as I celebrate an idiot getting what's coming to them, I can't support these types of arrests. 10 years ago there is no way someone would get arrested for making a comment like that. I don't like where this shit is going.
Was she making a threat or making them aware of a threat? I mean it reads like all she did was pointing out how it's trendy to assassinate health care CEOs and how they should adapt their policy.
Anyway she won't be convicted because she's not a cis white male.
Don't imply that you're going to murder people, and this won't happen to you. She said "You people are next." after dropping the phrase the assassin is famous for. She probably could've gotten away with everything up until she said that, because a reasonable person would infer from her words that "You people are next [to be assassinated for denying me coverage]."
No. Not typically, but in our current gay timeline, I'd say it's not the brightest. I am a free speech absolutist though, so I think she should be able to say whatever the fuck she wants.
Yes, that's a pretty direct threat after using the three Ds.
I feel bad for this woman, because she's a victim of United Healthcare. I wonder how much of her money she spent on UH only to be denied coverage when she finally needed it? This atrocious abuse of people's health needs to come to an end, EVERYONE agrees on this, that's why "both sides" are celebrating the shooting death of the CEO. We've all been made victims by people like him.
It's not the book title, though. The shooter tweaked it to be a DDD statement AGAINST insurance companies.
She specifically used the three words that the assassin used, and then her biggest mistake was adding "You people are next", because that elevates to a direct threat. It's still ridiculous to arrest her over this, you'd think most people would understand a frustrated, angered outburst after she got the news that she did.
No way this sticks. That is not a threat. Threats have more information than that. She probably meant that they would be the next to have a book written about their practices.
Reasonable doubt. She never mentioned violence. Never mentioned a time or place or anything like that. It’s too open to speculation. Good luck finding a jury willing to convict on that, then she can sue the local government for first and fourth amendment violations.

So what if she used the phrase, it's a book title.
Why don't they find Epstein's client list?
Did anybody read the latest manifesto? Is it a page turner?
