YES. I try to explain this to people often. If you watch movies you can see that nobody has learned this. They park car, then when they get out (taking their foot off the brake) it rolls a little into the parking pin.

I worked at a garage and the owner had his brothers pickup on my lift when i got to work. Turns out he did his brothers brakes the night before and forgot to tighten the caliper bolts and it all came apart on him. I walked in, saw it and said to his brother “you came in here thinking your brother was doing your b-r-a-k-e-s but he thought they were spelt b-r-e-a-k-s and this is what you end up with” he laughed, the owner was a cunt and I loved fucking with him any chance i had since I made him all his money(till i left).
