about these 'good' religions

When the Roman emperors adopted Christianity they saw in this great body of scientific knowledge and spiritual tradition a menace to the blind belief they demanded of their subjects. They destroyed the Alexandrian Library, and not content with burning books, they demolished all statuary, wherever found, that would give any inkling of the wisdom of the past. Of the Alexandrian volumes that escaped the ravages of Imperial Rome, the Mohammedans, equally as fanatical in their desire to preserve only the Bible and the Koran, made short work as they invaded westward

People love to disrespect Christians on this site

I can state for a fact that God, guardian angel, higher power, whatever you want to call it has intervened in my life many times.

For some reason God favors me. I hope I can live up to his expectations.

the mistake people make is that they identify their religion with God. Religions are institutions of power, institutions made by and for people. What does that have to do with God? Nothing.

You are a slave.

I am your intellectual and spiritual superior

We are spiritual beings having a brief human experience.

You'll see

The Foreign-Jew-God is using your "Human Experience" to condition you to an eternity of servitude under him.

I certainly hope so

It is not even controversial that the Catholic Church destroyed immense numbers of scientific writings from the Roman world. They are a major reason why we've lost so much of that writing. Archimedes was believed to have written so, so much, and we simply don't have the vast majority of it because it was destroyed.

I wonder whether the books were destroyed or just hidden from sight and kept for the sole benefit of the perps.

[ - ] CHIRO 0 points 5 monthsDec 9, 2024 09:03:08 ago (+0/-0)

There is evidence of a lot of destruction. I don't know of any evidence for hiding the texts, but it's possible. We know some were being destroyed because this was controversial inside of the early Catholic Church. For example, Origen seems to be worried about all of this. He was probably the most pro-science of the ancient Christian theologians. But even he drew a line at the point of scientific works that contradicted the faith. Whether the Holy See stowed books away in the archives or something may be difficult to know. One other thing we know is that the scientific enterprise that had been thriving in Rome came to a screeching halt for about a millennium and everything shifted to theology and metaphysics under the Christian umbrella. That's just by looking at the textual evidence, i.e., what works do we have preserved across the centuries. You go from a rich scientific corpus of work to nothing but theology and metaphysics and all kinds of hymnals and prayers and clerical letters (administrative and other such things).

I'd laugh my ass off if they found statues from the "Alexandrian Library", and they all had black features! You have your head up your ass! Just like all the other satan-cucks here!

You think the Greeks were Niggers?

[ - ] iSnark 0 points 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 13:53:57 ago (+0/-0)

I don't know, I don't have a time machine, I can't go back and find out.

[ - ] Master_Foo -1 points 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 13:57:34 ago (+0/-1)

You are the reason why Chist-Cucks get thrown into the oven with the Jews.

[ - ] iSnark 1 point 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 14:03:46 ago (+1/-0)

Gods' oven is Bigger, Hotter, & Eternal! Choose wisely!

What if, you're wrong! What are you going to do on Judgement Day?

[ - ] Master_Foo -1 points 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 14:06:15 ago (+0/-1)

What if your God is just a 5th dimensional Andy Dick who's only cosmic power is lying?

[ - ] iSnark 1 point 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 14:11:11 ago (+1/-0)

I assure you that Our God is not! You're messing with Fire! Earth is a testing ground for souls. That is the sole purpose of this Earth! That's WHY we're not eternal! We have a limited amount of time in this testing facility, and then we get placed for all of Eternity. I Pray that you are smart enough to know that you have been lied to all your life. There are no Aryan gods... The sooner that you learn that, the sooner that you can get your life in order for the "Final Examination"!

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 14:12:26 ago (+0/-0)

I assure you that Our God is not!
You worship a Jew.
You can't assure anyone of anything.

[ - ] con77 0 points 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 14:12:59 ago (+0/-0)

I think we all know how unlikely that is

[ - ] iSnark 1 point 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 14:17:49 ago (+1/-0)

Sure it's unlikely, but none of us were there. We don't know for sure who was where and when... I know one thing, And that is that, there are no other "gods" except the God of the Bible! That's a hill that I'm willing to die on!

No such thing as good religion.
Religons serve and worship MAN.

[ - ] boekanier [op] -2 points 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 09:12:51 ago (+1/-3)

religion stands for obscurantism: (1) the deliberate restriction of knowledge — opposition to the dissemination of knowledge; and (2) deliberate obscurity — a recondite style of writing characterized by deliberate vagueness.

[ - ] iSnark 1 point 5 monthsDec 8, 2024 09:50:00 ago (+1/-0)

Wrong again! Religion is the spread of knowledge, the knowledge of God. The knowledge you seek is man-made knowledge, and it will pass when this Earth passes!
