There's a lot of subtle detail in that picture, most notably (to me) is the slack in the line. I can get back into it "with moderation", but if I keep tugging on that line, it runs out quick and the hook sinks deep. I've been doing pretty well. Lately it's been one day on a weekend, every other week or so. Working a lot and not wanting the blood pressure spikes associated with binge drinking have been good deterrents.

I like the idea of this sub but I'm not there yet. However, thanks to many posts on this site, I have dropped the number of drinks and continue to focus on moderation.

Drinking alcohol is one of those weird parts of society. I never understood why people drink this stuff. It tastes awful. Just like I don't understand why people watch sports. It's boring.

It’s funny when I quit booze I had this like natural high. I would wake up and just feel like the king of the world. All this energy and confidence. It’s like the alcohol was suppressing it

It’s interesting to hear how someone managed to go the straight edge route just as interesting as it is to hear how of someone’s descent into addiction, assuming the stories are told well.

I drank an entire fifth of the Crown Royal limited edition blackberry last night. Vomited once, mostly doritos.
