Dog’s asses are generally just as shitty as people asses after a shit. If you wipe a dog’s butthole you will find a little bit of shit comes off on the tissue, just like with people.

If I squatted on the ground to shit, like the dog, I guess my ass cheeks would be spread a little wider than when I sit on the john. Maybe that would reduce the amount of poop on the bum post crap. I dunno.

We've had several dogs with longer fur. Every single one would get do-nots in the fur around their ass. And once I noticed it I couldn't not see it so I started regularly shaving around their butts. Problem solved.

Actually no. Because then we got a pup that had ongoing runny diarrhea. His ass was constantly covered in gooey shit. So we started wiping it with babywipes after every shit. But it turns out that dog asses are just a disgusting as human asses and even though he grew out of his tummy troubles we still wipe his ass, because it's covered with shit. And we will for our next dogs too.

The good news is he never drags his ass across the carpet. I've always assumed this was a sign that the dog has worms but it's also due to a itchy butthole due to being dirty. Exactly the same as humans.

tl;dr It's not just humans. The only difference is that only humans care whether their ass is dirty or not. Well some humans do. Generally the white ones.
