Looks like one of my kids going after the sandwich I just made

Look at that perfect form. Those claws smash into its target with the birds' full bodyweight and momentum behind it, and then it can use the wing position to swoop upward from the surface of the water.

It's incredible to see it broken down like this.

The final position looks like the Naruto run in diving form.

We have those. They like to build nests in our stadium lights. So I was sitting at my kids baseball game and a bluegill fish with blood all over it dropped near me and we're not really near any water but I was like WTF. Then I realized where it came from. Those birds get fucking huge. Plus, we have eagles here.

It’s pretty crazy when you see them flying back to their nest with a big fish suspended underneath them, they hold it so it’s most aerodynamic with its head into the wind… you can tell the fish is still alive with the air being rammed over its gills and gulping .. it’s fully conscious when the babies start tearing it up
