Due to account recovery, your email address is a form of password. It's good to use a different email address for every account, so someone can't even know what that is to start account recovery. Some email services allow aliases, e.g. gmail allowing +whatever added to your name.

Plus addressing has been a thing forever. Other services (like Proton Mail) let you generate a completely random alias with a name you give it (e.g. [email protected]) that forwards to your primary email, but nothing in the address identifies it as yours.
