I have a client who is a professional falconer and he shared an awesome story with me. I’ve met the falcon in this story. His birds are gps monitored and he provides services for farmers and airports and such. One day, he let his bird go and it flew two counties north and remained still for an hour or so. He located the exact property, a ranch, behind gates, and up on top of the hill is a large granite boulder. He drove up to the property to retrieve the bird, but couldn’t get past the locked gate. The bird saw him and took off. He watched the bird on his gps as he drove home and the bird was waiting for him when he got there. He clocked the falcon at 140 mph. It was a 1 hr drive for him.
