There's not enough ammonia in cat piss to gas yourself. You'd be hearing about 45 year old childless cat ladies dying all the time if there was. Besides that, all piss has some ammonia in it but bathrooms get cleaned with bleach daily. Vinegar is better for cat piss though, so there's definitely better options either way.

yes there is. I gassed a whole family out of their house because of bleach poured on a cat pee puddle.

pour it walk away and wait for the smell. when you see steam and hear sizzling you know its happening. hdx brand bleach.

I did this to myself once with actual ammonia followed by pouring bleach. Nothing happens. You cough. It's not like the movies.

Real ammonia, like industrial strength ammonia, is so strong it will blow the eyebrows off you if you get near it. That stuff will kill you all by itself, and it's normally only 25-35% concentration at that.

I once handled a small drum of that stuff (35%), and wanted to make household ammonia (5-10%) for myself out of it. I though piece of cake, I'll just pour some out and mix it with water. Easy-peasy.

I opened the small metal screw cap on the drum, and that was the end of that experiment. Never again. I had trouble getting the cap back on because I could not get near the drum because of the vapors.

I can see why mixing stuff like that, even at household concentrations, with bleach, can be extremely dangerous.

But pee..probably not that much.

Bleach isn't one thing, chemically. Historically, bleach was made out of urine, because of the ammonia in it. So I don't know. Space is Fake & Gay.

It's far too little to pose any health problems. Unless you're storing and concentrating vats of cat piss for months on end, and then you spill that on the floor. Maybe then.
