Apparently they were worth almost $19 MILLION if they were passed off as real.

Who cares? Why is DHS seizing fake products instead of doing real police work? God fucking forbid Gibson loses a sale. Millions ain't enough?

Niggers and kikes profiting off of white mans products. It’s bad enough white fools are giving them kikeniggers funds and supplies by the truckload.

and who was it that went 'you know what, i think instead of making our guitars right here in the white mans country, we might ask if china can make them for us'

same thing with cars. the last holden commodore (aka not a holden commodore, an Opel Insignia) ran you $40-60k to buy. blah blah expensive because made here good cars yada yada.

then we say 'cant do it any more because environment, we bad, but china good, china green, look at advertise for china, china all solar and green and free and fair' and suddenly you can buy a brand new MG ZS for $20,000. Thats the kind of absolutely controlled forced prices you get when youre actively encouraging a population to be able to afford that thing extremely cheap, but it is not a long term viablility thing. Chinas government has to be propping them all up, which means Australian superannuation funds are propping it up.

either those cars are legitimately that cheap to make under normal manufacturing circumstances, in which case we were always getting raped (duh, of course we were) or these chinese car makers are losing money hand and foot simply to force a situation where the vast majority of cars in australia are cheap chinese shit, with full cooperation by the australian federal government, to completely undermine and shut down the entire 80 year old automotive manufacturing industry in australia. 'stray dont want sedans, straya want small jap and big fuck off american trucks, see? see? cant buy what we arent making and if you cant buy it theres no way to prove its popularity any more'

Holden WN Caprice and VFII Commodore platforms were the best cars "GM" has ever manufactured.

That's a very good point. [censored] all the jews that run the factories. But to be fair the real joke is on the fag flippers who resale Gibson or fake NFL merch.

Sacrilege. Put those tainted instruments in a wood pulper.

Gibson imports most of its parts- from wood bodies and necks- to all electronic components- from China. Sourced from the lowest supplier and produced from the cheapest slave labor in Bumfuckchina and shipped to the good ol us of a….
They do not care how yousef shellenstein sources his rosewood….

is it just my imagination or a genuine gibsons (or fenders or any big brand) pretty much still 'fake' anyway - as in.... seems like all of these guitars are actually just like 'intel' or 'amd' brand microchips and shit... intel and amd arent actually manufacturing them, other companies manufacture both and send them to the oem or 'dropship' - same seems to be with guitars.

I'm terrified to the point i don't dare buy used

[ - ] SumerBreeze 0 points 5 monthsNov 28, 2024 21:47:29 ago (+0/-0)

I don’t buy any brand or name - it’s got to feel and sound good. If you can’t tell what equipment you are holding or the quality of sound you are producing, best to keep your budget extremely tight.

[ - ] kammmmak 1 point 5 monthsNov 28, 2024 22:00:11 ago (+1/-0)

Fakes sound good sometime. That's not the point for me. It's simply it bein fake. Fucn martins galore, it's gotten bad. Glad i am into just acoustics i admit coz man electrics have gotten real tricky. Actually who's kidding who now Martins are getting very hard tell apart. That's why i only own used and old

[ - ] SumerBreeze 0 points 5 monthsNov 28, 2024 23:03:14 ago (+0/-0)

Check out Eastman - China made, but its a fraction of the cost of Martin and sounds comparable.

While cunning, it's a stupid tactic. Chinese manufacturers would be better off taking a few hints from the Japanese and Koreans by capitalizing on their ability to churn out high quantity moderate quality goods to dominate the starter affordable goods market. Let the legacy companies fight for market share in the low quantity high quality goods market. Then as those companies falter, you buy them, and market their continued line as your moderate quantity high quality brand.

If anything, with what China sells guitars for, a prominent music youtuber with enough capital to spare could go that route and do fairly well employing that tactic.

They've done that too.

Folks probably didn't follow along but it's amazingly easy (I did so to demonstrate a point) to buy a fake Gibson online. Mine made it through customs. They put a cheap sticker over the headstock but it was obviously a sticker. Customs never opened it.

But, there are a ton of very playable guitars made in China. You can just buy those. Vietnam is also making good enough guitars.
