I thought Halls singing kinda ruined it.

Awesome that you found parts of it! The whole thing was 3 hours I think and they played more than 10 songs together and ad-libbed some of the songs. These guys are probably one of the only real bands.

EDIT: Here's a playlist of all the songs they did at least, not sure why the whole interview is taken down though. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLINSQGXREtvcKO-0JzfIAdmDM9lKm0tSZ

It usually saddens me a bit when I hear bands from my youth play their songs and it doesn't standup like it used to, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good Cheap Trick still sounded. I mentioned to @PostWallHelena that I thought that Daryl kind of ruined the song al bit. And I do consider myself a fan of his, and the music they made in the 80's. It's just that Cheap Trick STILL sounds amazing after all of these years. And to be fair to Daryl, this wasn't one of his songs, so I can give him a pass for sounding a bit off.

Yeah, Daryl Hall was like a kid in a candy store getting to jam with them. He humbled himself greatly in the inverview if I recall and thanked them for getting to play with them. It was interesting to hear them negotiate how the song would go and see them getting started.

That said, I agree his injections didn't make the song "better" but I gave it to him in how he seemed to admit what his role and standing was. These cheap trick guys are top notch in how they talk about themselves, each other and the songs.

With Darryl Hall sitting in. Great!

I liked Hall & Oates, @Dingo tipped me off to a podcast called Daryl's House, where Daryl had a specific episode where he interviewed Cheap Trick. Unfortunately, We've not been able to find the whole episode. I caught this jam session, and I have to admit, I thought Daryl kind of ruined the song a bit, versus the original without him.
