Is classic literature useful for new generations, or is it obsolete?

It's funny how each new generation thinks they somehow have invented some new way of living or thinking that thousands of years of people who are much smarter than they were didn't already think of. The classics have lasted hundreds and thousands of years for a reason. Their thought processes in the way of thinking that they teach are the ones that create societies that last the longest and preserve their literature the longest. The boogalooga belief systems and books aren't around because the societies that they create don't even last 20 years and they end up killing and burning each other up and burning up all their stuff and they can't even write.

Classic literature is the literature that survives because the way they think and teach creates the societies that are lasting so the literature has lasted. Whether or not the Greeks or the Romans or the Western Europeans have changed their names their basic methods of operation and organization and thinking have been consistent from one to the other. And they have all chosen to preserve the classics and that is why the classics exist.

Don't ask either or questions and give us yes/no questions.

I've gone back and read the classics specifically because they're classics. Some hold up, some don't.

No , most young people have a 3 second attention span. Imagine them trying to read A tale of two cities, War and Peace , the Illiad , etc.

Not gunna happen

I don't appreciate defeatist black pill rhetoric.
