You may be thinking of a hue or shade/brightness. 50/50 chance the big ass STOP button is either deep red or Christmas Green and has the words STOP written on it wrapped around a warning label and is the largest most noteworthy button on the entire panel.

See even if you are color blind, its usually the biggest button that stands out from the pannel the most that shuts the machine down, you know that one you feel the urge to press by instinct, but you don't because you know what it does.
