Why does he switch to decimals just to go back to fractions? The only thing complicated about the problem is the phrasing.

The answer is clearly 2. Anyone who passed grade 8 math can figure this out.

The solution provided in the video is a stupid way to solve it, but still gets the right answer.

x = 1 + 1/2x
x = 2
