Probably. British auto industry has been auctioned off a long time ago. Volkswagen owns Rolls Royce now. BMW owns Bentley and Mini Cooper, Mercedes or Daimler AG owns Austin Martin. Ford used to own Jaguar but I guess it wasn't profitable enough and they sold it off.

The US financial war repayments against Britain forced it to keep its currency at a high rate and open the Common Wealth markets after WW2 which effectively bankrupted the British auto industry and made exports uncompetitive from the high exchange rate cost.

It's too bad. I've always liked the classic Jaguars.
