Why do employees owe allegiance to an employer, and an employer can treat you like shit?

submitted by GodsNotDead to Rants 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 08:51:53 ago (+32/-0)     (Rants)

This is something I noticed in a lot of these shitty HR training videos, they want super loyal, die hard employees who will fight tooth and nail for the company. Meanwhile the company will happily fire everyone and anyone to make a buck, force diversity mandates, immediately cave to the COVID shot. Seriously, this HR training video makes me think im part of a cult. What makes this so funny is they always have some nigger she boon be the better person, which i find laughable. Usually a company issue is created by a pissed off diversity hire who decides to go scorched earth. But sure, the sheboon is the voice of reason ....

One of the most powerful lines to tell your manager/boss is: "I understand the company owes me no loyalty, and in return I owe none in return". I have gotten quite a few startled looks, complete tone changes and "meetings" ended abruptly after stating that line. I am if fairly specialized field, with a good work ethic, so finding work is usually not too hard. If they want to treat me like a commodity, I'm happy to be a free agent.

I am genuinely happy for you. Life isn't fair and we all don't have that mobility, but I would never begrudge a White man his prosperity. Good for you!!

(Corporate) Loyalty is a currency. When you owe people, the interest accrues fast. When they owe you, it has negative dividends. Pay and charge it ASAP.

[ - ] SirNiggsalot 8 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 09:27:09 ago (+8/-0)

I feel your pain.
I work in a distribution center for a nation wide hardware store chain.
They're all in on DEI

It's 70% Hispanics 25% percent Africans , and some Eastern Europeans and like 3 of us White native born.

The stock price is way over 300 per share , they pay us peanuts, and the benefits suck. They have these meetings where they act like we're family etc.

Get hurt 2x your out the door. They work you like slaves , expect you to meet these crazy standards , pay you shit, work you like dogs, and want you to kill yourself to not even make enough to live on.
They want you to have Stockholm syndrome

You haven't done enough to be awarded with a liveable wage and decent working conditions.

Do your part give your tax payer money to Ukraisreal!

Try to find a job that pays better. I know it ain't easy.

Last year I was looking for work as I run a small business And there was no work over winter due to weather.

Got bullied by boomers and their spoiled kids into applying for food service and food delivery driver jobs, because back in 'their day' that was a valid method to provide for your family while things weren't optimal. Or call centers etc.

I applied to every last fucking fast food and food delivery job available in the city, as well as all the construction and labour jobs that my experience makes me suited for.
I even applied at the 'scam' call centers even though I promised myself I would hang myself before dropping to that level.

I had one pizza delivery place say they would contact me if their already hired workers didn't work out. I had one manufacturing/fabrication job run me through their 6 week interview process and I got the job but one of my certifications had expired and they completely ghosted me after I told them. It was som irrelevant bullshit to the job and I saw some of their employees were niggers so I didn't bother trying to contact them again.

I got a complete SHIT slave job strictly through nepotism. The job was terrible. The people were terrible. My buddy who got me the job is the type to claim alpha male, wannabe 1%er type. Found out he was as sensitive as a Troon on the job site because he was over his head. If I made a joke about just about anything he would get all sour. The company was run by kids of people who actually worked, so the business was failing, multiple fines amounting $30,000 per day for failing to meet obligations on multiple job sites. Got laid off and haven't looked back, but unfortunately being a small business lots of the customers I draw are bottom of the barrel. The worst jobs for the least amount of money, and retards who try to tell you how to do your job because they ran a Google search.

I have no idea if I'll ever get a job again and don't really care. Clinking shekels together isnt killing the criminal scum that's making our lives incrementally worse every day while we're slaving for them.

But sure, the sheboon is the voice of reason...

It's a fictional scenario. They've got to add diversity somewhere.

[ - ] Wahaha 1 point 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 13:54:12 ago (+1/-0)

Good fiction makes you suspend your disbelief, though.

[ - ] SilentByAssociation 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 16:04:39 ago (+0/-0)

It's certainly not good fiction. Everyone in those videos know they're actors in a scenario that would never happen.

When you put it like that, it sounds like jewish doctrine

[ - ] Sector2 6 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 13:17:41 ago (+6/-0)

Modern jewish society is all about turning actual people into subservient tax cattle who sell the use of their mind and body to the jewish hierarchy.

[ - ] NuckFiggers 3 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 14:35:59 ago (+3/-0)

I treat them the same way I do friends and girlfriends- I go above and beyond and don't ask for much (other than a paycheck) and when I ask for something it's never more than they can handle. If I don't get it then fuck you. I will still stay at a job but do the minimum and use all the benefits before I walk.

[ - ] RMGoetbbels 3 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 10:11:57 ago (+3/-0)

It's a walk on piano wire if we have to be honest about it.

Because of all the times they should have fired you but didn't. In the past ten years I SHOULD have been fired at least, at least 20 times. That's no shit, I'm a prick and I'm all out of fucks to give.

There are a ton of low effort, slack fucks out there "working" that more or less get paid to show up. They don't want to do their job and even if they did they are unqualified so 9 days out of 10...they phone it in.

I'm not going to defend any company, they're just as bad with their own shit. 99.99999999999999999% want something for nothing to make up for the low effort, slack fucks out there "working" that more or less get paid to show up.

So the problem is people, like it always is. Pos that cannot or will not be morally upright. You're probably just as guilty and I say that because usually the biggest pieces of shit cry the loudest.

[ - ] Stonkmar 7 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 11:50:50 ago (+7/-0)

There's a lot of government jobs like you describe: getting paid to show up.

[ - ] RMGoetbbels 5 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 12:11:08 ago (+5/-0)

Less government, less taxes, better life.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 1 point 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 12:37:54 ago (+1/-0)

(They are) Still working from home all but 2 days a week.

[ - ] jfroybees 2 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 15:23:13 ago (+2/-0)*

I was at a recent soiree, formal and everything, and a guest speaker said this of those who got very real promotions, "Now remember, it is not the time to sit back on your haunches. Yes, you made the cut, but don't be that guy. Everybody wants the money, but nobody wants to do the work." (I think he cited that from the tiny black fellow, the comedian.)

I have found that it is the people who don't stick up for themselves that become the rugs.

[ - ] Smedleys_Butler 2 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 17:30:22 ago (+2/-0)

Join a small family business. But big enough that it's not just family that gets perks

[ - ] jfroybees 1 point 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 18:17:19 ago (+1/-0)

The holocough wiped out small family business. As intended. Is it on the upswing? Hopefully it will be very very soon.

[ - ] Razzoriel 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 19:11:58 ago (+0/-0)

It can never be fully wiped out, only severely reduced. If you cant find it its because people who usually work there tend to stay much longer.

[ - ] SteppingRazor 2 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 15:17:26 ago (+2/-0)

I work for a humongous company that is all in on DEI. I steal time every chance I get there, some days I don't do a thing. When I see some new bullshit DEI posting, I stop working for the day. Thing is, I'm still the top producer in my department because the rest of the team is niggers and hindus.

You've got to be a special kind of stupid to work for a company that has an HR dept.

You deserve what you get if you do.

[ - ] GodsNotDead [op] 8 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 09:08:59 ago (+8/-0)

I mean, most companies have an HR department. Seems a bit of an excessive ask

[ - ] Sector2 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 12:13:37 ago (+0/-0)

Have you hired employee-tier people to do HR at your company?

[ - ] registereduser -1 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 19:35:59 ago (+0/-1)

Idiot.

99% of companies in the US are small businesses. ie.. no HR dept.

Lol, I do , and I agree

[ - ] Razzoriel 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 19:10:27 ago (+0/-0)

The best companies to work for have the owner as the sole worker for HR. But yea, the closer the owner stays at hiring, the better it (usually) becomes for employees

[ - ] BlueEyedAngloMasterRaceGod 1 point 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 19:50:48 ago (+1/-0)

Because they manipulated the labor supply so that (((they))) control the market and you have to beg for acceptance.

[ - ] o0shad0o -1 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 20:01:22 ago (+0/-1)

I don't think it's quite that deliberate, but when it's a buyer's market for labor and it's difficult to move to another job you definitely have less say over working conditions. Let's hope under Trump's regime the business environment starts running hotter again.

[ - ] BlueEyedAngloMasterRaceGod 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 22:10:28 ago (+0/-0)

well aren't you a fucking moron. of course it's deliberate.

[ - ] namefagsrgay 0 points 5 monthsNov 19, 2024 12:47:20 ago (+0/-0)

Its feudalism. These patterns repeat themselves throughout history. Are the most competent people running the company? Nope. Just the biggest assholes.

[ - ] Razzoriel 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 19:06:09 ago (+0/-0)

The best way to keep an employee motivated is when you let them seek alternatives and point out to them why staying is better. Productive people find jobs all the time. When you tell them what you get, especially in the "behind the curtain" details, they dont magically become loyal, but start to weight their options differently. If you as a boss manages to give a good employee a couple paid days off when its corporate policy to never do that, as long as he is reminded, he will remember that, and maybe can tolerate another two-hour ESG training by HR.

Conversely, whip your employees and they will scram. There is absolutely nothing that people hate more than corporate grinding without tangible returning results. If I had to work overtime for 3 months every week, you better be ready to extend my vacations, shut it when I am really sick or at the very least pay me accordingly.

[ - ] con77 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 17:05:28 ago (+0/-0)*

I used to sub for a contractor. Refinishing antique wood floors. I was very good at it and had been working by myself for years at this point.

One week he sent his fucking drug dealer to be my helper on a job. The guy was useless. He was high on pills. I'd go to check on him and he'd be dancing to the radio not working.

I had to pick him up in the morning and drop him off at the end of the day. An additional 45 minutes driving I didn't need. The fucking guy stole $10 in quarters out of the work van console!

At the end of the week I told the contractor that I wouldn't be using the guy anymore. The asshole shouted at me over the phone "This is my business and I decide who works or not! Got it?".

I gave him 2 weeks notice and only worked another week. I had found another job pretty quickly.

6 months later the contractor calls me wanting me to come back. I had been cooking in a restaurant on the beach and hated it.

I told him "You come up with a $1000 bonus and I'll come back". That was the quickest check he ever scratched in his life! My jobs usually generated $1500-$2000 in profit for him every week so it was a no brainer for him.

The guy was addicted to Vicodin and Adderall and eventually ran the business into the ground. When the housing market crashed I bailed out and went to Nursing school. I had been an EMT in the Coast Guard.

ProTip: You can quit your job.

this HR training video makes me think im part of a cult.
You are in a cult.
That's what a job is.
Whatever widget your company produces, that's your golden calf.
The company and everyone in it exists to make and sell that golden calf.
And as a result, the golden calf blesses you with a salary, and maybe benifits.
More if you are part of the company priesthood.
Less if you are an altar boy.
Everything else is tangential.

[ - ] goatfugee12 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 14:22:56 ago (+0/-0)

if you work for a company that has an HR division you are a cuck.

[ - ] namefagsrgay 0 points 5 monthsNov 19, 2024 13:10:15 ago (+0/-0)

Yea... When some fat worthless pig is telling me I didn't pass a test and the guy who tested me said it was great I know that I'll end up getting punished or held back for some other made up thing. And no, I'm not taking a $8 pay cut to do some shittier job, you fat fucking pig.

[ - ] goatfugee12 0 points 5 monthsNov 20, 2024 06:38:43 ago (+0/-0)

oy vey its all about dem shekels right?

Rather make less and have real job security and a white owner who still does shit by handshake than some corporate actual fat fucking pig Emailing me repeatedly about taking some DEI online class with a 10 question pop quiz at the end so that Blackrock and Vanguard can handrub while they steal the soul of the white working class.

IF YOU WORK FOR A COMPANY WITH AN HR DIVISION YOU ARE A CUCK. At least you admit its all about dem shekles though rabbi

[ - ] ProudRebel 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 14:20:45 ago (+0/-0)

This is how kikes operate. The fix is easy... Hire yourself.

[ - ] NaturalSelectionistWorker 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 14:13:05 ago (+0/-0)

Because you need money and they have it. Also, lots of employees don't actually have any more loyalty than they have to have to keep their job, and as soon as they think they have a new opportunity, that disappears too.

[ - ] HeyJames 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 13:12:52 ago (+0/-0)

I work for myself and am beholden to no HR. Even back in the company days, none of their BS affected me. Doing a job that a woman can do will ultimately result in you being treated as a woman.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 12:36:48 ago (+0/-0)

Depends. If your company is actually like your family, loyalty goes a very long way. If you have a culture that acts like that. Of course, this could only be in smaller operations, or as a smaller part of a bigger operation.

[ - ] VitaminSieg 1 point 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 12:50:41 ago (+1/-0)

idk I see a lot of families ask & take, and it's a huge inconvenience if they have to give a little. Sounds like a company job to me.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 16:17:16 ago (+0/-0)*

Unlike your family, you get to choose them. But yeah that happens. All of the dysfunction that happens to families happens to small companies, too, whereas larger ones have more of the kind of dysfunction present in governments.

It's been harder and harder maybe every year of my life to keep running a family business or one closely held. It's against the zeitgeist which is like Wal*Mart with its employees on food stamps and Obamacare. Loyalty feelings are only part of it, because I think the environment itself is not conducive. Living costs go up maybe faster than you can increase prices. So if you have a small business with longtime employees, you're trying to fight to keep what you have.

[ - ] Sector2 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 13:25:18 ago (+0/-0)

If your company IS your family, loyalty goes a very long way.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 1 point 5 monthsNov 19, 2024 12:06:16 ago (+1/-0)

I know some families where it's like: Oh sure you can have a job. You may not like it.

[ - ] Sector2 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 12:07:31 ago (+0/-0)

Because "employees" have effectively sold their souls. Instead of remaining a free person, they've sold the use of their own mind and body to someone else to use as they will.

[ - ] GrayDragon 0 points 5 monthsNov 18, 2024 11:41:14 ago (+1/-1)

The HR video is propaganda. And who paid for the propaganda? Not you.

There are good companies out there. If your current company sucks, you should still be sending out resumes or whatnot. I have always had luck at small companies. The less employees, the less likely the company is to treat you poorly.
