She a cult follower of hindu SIF (science of identity foundation) that has three main precepts World peace (no more forever wars) Happiness (freedom of religion) and social harmony (anti lgbtq-p / anti Islam). It's long been stated that chris Butler (the SIF leader) after success with having her Father gaining a seat in hawaiian senate - helped to steer Tusi into a having political role in the US to further promote their hindu ideology - and is also part of why she claims she no longer has anything to do with SIF and has attempted to distance herself from them.
Her father (and Mother also SIF adherents) is a Hawaii state rep that promotes similar SIF-based ideology.
He was elected as a republican in 2006 then immediately switched to a democrat in 2007 after election.
Her husband in also from a SIF family and is a half-breed Kiwi Māori.
