Why do people eat this shit.

I live in one of the few places in america where it actually has cultural identity for "mom and pop" type restaurants that don't just serve goyslop (think new orleans).

We went on a vacation 8 day road trip. The shit average america eats regularly basically almost fucking killed us lol.

people are too busy working and surviving to learn about this shit. It is a privilege to be educated. Only a couple 100 years ago only the most educated or those who became monks/priests etc would have the opportunity to read/write etc

[ - ] anon 5453308 2 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 11:37:11 ago (+2/-0)

I learned about it because I got ulcerative colitis and I found foods that significantly helped keep it at bay. Essentially a pure healthy diet. Incredibly fucking hard to find in america. Significantly easier but not freely given either in many other countries.

Nothing will shake/wake you up like health or trauma....sometimes what is needed is to break the spell and awaken consciousness a little more. glad you are better.

Agreed.

Yep. Just had a second heart attack.

I read about it because I didn't want to be a fat fuck.

I am "gluten free", but I'm not sure it's a gluten allergy. Something in the goyslop. Gluten free means fresh, simple foods for me.

[ - ] anon 5453308 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 12:42:34 ago (+0/-0)

For me gluten free isn't a perfect overlap for helping colitis. It's very close, but if I go out of my way I'll find some brand or shop somewhere where I can eat the bread no problem. But essentially yes, I am completely bread free. Rice is easier to find that doesn't cause issues.

Same goes for milk / cheese. 99% of milk / cheese (in america at least) causes an issue, but I can go way out of my way to find a raw milk brand that doesn't etc. Raw milk is like f'ing trying to hunt down a black market to get in the US..

I eat mostly a sugar free all meat diet. RO and / or Distilled water (country well water is perfectly fine too).

I'm pretty much the same (without the colitis), literally lost 0ver 30kgs during the holo-cov from almost exclusively just diet.
No sugar, no goyslop, no sweets/ confectionary/ chocolate, very very little dairy.
works a treat - i feel ill now if i consume overly processed food/ sweet cakes etc - plus it makes a massive difference in the stool texture the next morning lol.

I am mostly GF. celiac/gluten sensitivity runs in my family.
If I eat gluten I get bloated and my hands and feet get swollen and itchy.
My kids are sick for two days if they accidentally eat a bread crumb.

[ - ] anon 3950820 1 point 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 20:24:39 ago (+1/-0)

Try einkorn. If like us, it wasn't the gluten. It was the GMO wheat and glyphosate.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 0 points 5 monthsNov 16, 2024 14:29:36 ago (+0/-0)

I just eat healthier anyways being gluten free. It's not a bad idea to try. I don't want to go back to a lot of wheat, though. Rice and other stuff just seems better. Most of the rice I am making, so I know what's in it. I guess I could make flour. IDK.

My hands used to swell up as a kid, but we never knew why.

I can consume a pretty decent amount of gluten before I get sick. At least, it doesn't affect me so much that I notice it.

Try DGL, oil of oregano, and mastic gum.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 2 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 11:07:52 ago (+3/-1)

Why do people eat this shit.

Its addictive. Food products are engineered by corporations to be hyperpalatable and addictive. It triggers a flood of pleasurable hormones in your body and also raises your pleasure threshhold. If you eat this stuff on a regular basis, normal unprocessed and healthy foods are not enjoyable to eat anymore. Like any other addiction, it creates a dysregulation of your brain and makes it difficult for you to enjoy natural healthy activities. Some people are more susceptible than others to this sort of addiction.

I found NO food to be very unhealthy, loaded with fat and sugar. Are you saying youre from NO or someplace not at all like NO? Not clear.

[ - ] anon 5453308 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 11:39:05 ago (+0/-0)

I dunno man NO may have greasy foods etc seen as the "root of being all unhealthy" but hot damn, that's some good food that gave me the impression of being healthy and not some microwaved average american goyslop given to you.

It's pricey but I bought Equal Exchange's organic dark hot chocolate.

Ingredients: "Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Cocoa Powder - Processed with Alkali, Organic Dark Chocolate (Organic Chocolate Liquor, Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Cocoa Powder)".

[ - ] anon 2718522 [op] 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 15:18:06 ago (+0/-0)

Do they sell it in the north east USA?

[ - ] anon 2742584 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 16:59:11 ago (+0/-0)

No,Hilary banned this,

[ - ] anon 4282171 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 22:35:55 ago (+0/-0)

I use organic cacao and add some honey.

[ - ] anon 2831838 2 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 13:25:23 ago (+2/-0)

This has more soy-lechathin (a thickener) than any actual "dairy" or "chocolate" product. After just plain "water" (plain fluoridated water I'm sure), sugar is listed twice among several other "sweeteners".

Goyslop indeed.

[ - ] anon 1513100 1 point 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 14:08:55 ago (+1/-0)

It literally needs 3 dry ingredients: cocoa powder, sugar, dehydrated milk

That's it. Maybe some salt to make the flavor stick to your tongue. Put hot water in that.

[ - ] anon 2718522 [op] 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 15:20:48 ago (+0/-0)

Every milk powder brand I find, even grass fed ones contain soy lechthin in it

[ - ] dass 1 point 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 15:47:59 ago (+1/-0)*

Need to find an exclusive organic brand, either with or without (non-gmo) soy lecithin (there is natural/ organic non-GMO, non-soy lecithin, Non-gmo sunflower lecithin is one). Basically, not all soy lecithin is made equal.

[ - ] anon 2718522 [op] 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 19:01:53 ago (+0/-0)

I looked everywhere Nada. Have you found one? Even the imported brands of new Zealand

It Doesn't even need sugar. Tf.

[ - ] anon 6116175 1 point 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 10:39:54 ago (+1/-0)

Nay nay. I run on Campbell's chunky soup and beef jerky.

[ - ] puremadness 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 22:56:49 ago (+0/-0)

Those heated "gums" make the frothy gunk.
Mostly sugar, few drops of coffee, soy lechitin and other chems.

It's fucking bad for you.

[ - ] 2Drunk 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 21:44:44 ago (+0/-0)

I've been mixing 100% cocoa powder, hole milk, 100% peanut butter, raw honey, black pepper, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and ginger for my morning drink. It has a little spiciness to it but its good.

If we start getting niggers or jews in the office I'll like add in kratom.

[ - ] puremadness 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 22:59:31 ago (+0/-0)

I like 1-2 Bananas + Whole D Milk + peanutbutter + frozen whole berries throw it in the blender with ICE.
Heaven in a cup. I used to use that old school "Banana Foam" mix, but stopped when I realized it already tasted good.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 0 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 12:15:45 ago (+0/-0)

You're concerned that a big hot choco has sugar and calories in it?

[ - ] anon 3565207 -1 points 5 monthsNov 15, 2024 10:22:24 ago (+0/-1)

Goyslop is the perfect metaphor for more than merely the "food." Everything is artificial in the valley of the damned and the land of the dead. Everything.

As an aside, isn't the degradation of basic sentence structure to please the urban and "extra southern" and "extra extra extra southeastern" newcomers amazing? "Taste the cozy" "Adulting is hard" "it do be like that" "it do be" "how it be yo" "women are equal to men" and other complete nonsense.
