In the video, Charlie isn't denying anything. Denial would by necessity address the situation. "I didn't do it" still implies that something was done. Charlie instead pretends that there is no situation, while in the process of cleaning up all evidence. He does this so confidently that his wife begins to doubt her own perception of reality.
