I already paid them exorbitant amounts of money.

You send gifts to people you care about and have a relationship with.

If you are close to your doctor, then why not?

One time I was having issues with excessive semen production and your mother took care of me so I gave her a big batch of throat yogurt to show her my appreciation.

We're not allowed to accept gifts from patients, unless it's a plate of cookies or something similar.

I mean a bottle of wine, or chocolates.

Yeah, those would be gifts they could accept

The gift is the new boat they were able to buy after the cost of sewing 22 stitches.

After one of my earlier motorcycle accidents, the bad one with Ministered last rites, the Ortho doc who put me back together and who was my doc when I was playing hockey, came to my room on unofficial med business, he was outfitted in his fishing gear including his tackle vest, his chest waders we're in his Range Rover, he knew that I was big into fishing the St. Mary's Rapids, both fly and spin-cast...I'm in the final stages of traction and he's got lures and feathered hooks all over my hospital bed in between my legs and he wants to hit the steelhead big time...earlier, spring time, I made the local news for landing a 19lb Steelhead/Rainbow Trout in the rapids and with a 6lb leader line...he's got everything needed except for how to apply what's required at the time of season...it's late June and the spawn is over, I told him to put everything away and just go with the silver and blue #3 "Little Cleo" on a 12 or 14ft spincast UGLY STICK with no more than 12lb mono Stren line, no swivel, no weight and bare hook, told him where the 2 best eddies were and to cast down stream of the swirl but from the side as the fish will be disturbed if standing in the water at the head of the flow and reel in to where the lure maintains depth just below surface line. Two days later he comes in and is all teeth...we remained good friends until he passed away in 2019 after returning from a deer hunt. He was a great guy...RIP Peter

Sharing your knowledge is the greatest gift to give.
