The more you vote for trump the harder they have to cheat and the more apparent their cheating becomes. While I sympathize that because you didn't fix the cheating in the first one, there will be cheating in this one. I think that without covid the mail in ballets cheating won't tip the outcome.

If you think about it, voting in a rigged system is somewhat of an accelerator.

Voting for representatives is simply the justification for shirking response-ability (free will of choice) onto anyone else but self.

Some view voting(even if they suspect the system is rigged) as a morally correct behavior and to deflect any criticism from others("since I voted I've done my part to make life better").

Particularly effective in placating those who don't want to risk dying to fix issues because they need to be fixed via bloody upheaval. Few are willing to get their hands dirty or risk being on the losing side. As such voting is a "easy out" to affirm that you did your best.

Because people face a choice between maintaining the status quo or separating from it, resulting in a severe state of cognitive dissonance. This is a high-energy state. It's difficult to maintain, so given the average over-worked, stressed individual, they'll often collapse into the status quo. It's easier than the alternative, which is complete separation from the social order at large. This is an under-diagnosed aspect of the situation we face, and it highlights one of the remarkable evils of usurping the social order.

There are a lot of people who still see voting ideally as a fundamental sort of civic participation. This isn't about whether the system is rigged or not; it's about the perception that most of their peers (be it family, friends, work colleagues or whatever) are doing it, and becoming the weird one who can honestly answer for why he isn't voting is a difficult thing to do, especially if there is no clear upshot. Like, you could give your rant at work. You can do that. Most people are going to think that shit isn't worth the cost. So, you go through the motions. It's like sending your kid through school-sponsored driver's training. There are cases where it just isn't necessary (your kid figured out how to drive long before age 15, for example). But you send the kid through it anyway because it provides a clear path to the test and the license, and more importantly, other parents in the community are doing it. Maybe your kid wants to do what is normal, too.

Normalcy. It's a hell of a drug.

Other people are convinced there is some sufficient level of fairness in the electoral process, even if it is subject to 'local' pockets of fuckery, i.e., the fuckery isn't so complete that it makes their vote worthless. One reason you might have for this is: These campaigns sure are spending a fuck-ton of money on commercials, the only purpose of which is to convince John and Jane to vote one way or the other. It would be weird if they were spending this much money on ads while also having the knowledge that John's and Jane's votes are factually worthless. Simply, if the powers that be know votes are worthless, you might expect there to be superficial campaigns, but you probably wouldn't expect spending in the hundreds of millions of dollars to convince people to do something for you that has zero utility. Clearly, they want votes. Again, it would be weird if the only utility the politicians were getting from votes was their ability to keep up the presentation of a fair election. They could do that for pennies on the dollar compared with their actual investments.

I mean, Kamala's campaign has produced like a dozen different commercials since July. She has put herself in positions publicly that I would think are strategically bad for the democrats. I'm saying that if the elections were decided ahead of time, I'd expect a lot less money and overall activity on the campaign side of things. So, I waver between 'it's all fake' and 'it can't all be fake'.

Why wrestling is fake and people still watch it?

I'm disenfranchised. I couldn't vote even if I wanted to. Which I don't.

Some people don't know how rigged it is. Some people still think political solutions can work. Personally, I'm busy worshiping the Gods of Europe to help in the spiritual battle against the jew god.
