Perhaps talk about what was relevant i.e the dog attack. The other bit has no impact upon the story but will impact the emotions of any woman that reads it. An emotional article for what should have been fact based, I must admit I didn't read it all, hopefully the dogs were put down and the woman sued, the other details we didn't need to know, her personal insecurities.

Dogs are pack animals, and I'd bet that the "german shepard" (if you've seen the pictures it looks like a mutt) was just the sidekick. This woman was small and the pitbull likely mistook her for a child and couldn't resist its genetic instincts.
