Ghost in the shell is an amazing series but you have to watch the episodes in order to follow the story line. The movies are just shortened versions of the series. Cowboy Bebop is ridiculous fun pretending to be a sci-fi drama. Just stay away from manga/hentai. That shit can never be unseen and will leave scars on your psyche
So do you want an anime with a lot of fighting and battles? Jujutsu Kaisen comes to mind. My Hero Academia seems popular with fighting and stuff. More on the silly end but enjoyable would be One Punch Man.
I was never into DBZ or fighting anime, so can't recommend many. Are there other things you are interested in? Anime has near endless genres. From sports, to economics, robots, military, fantasy, or slice of life.

I'm not really into fighting, but DBZ makes me want to put my all into building up my physical form and strength. There's something about it that motivates the fuck out of me. Seeing the characters give it their all and then some. It's inspiring stuff. It makes me want to like fighting. I guess I want to feel something.

Hunter X Hunter, If I remember right had a pretty good self improving and training arc. How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift? Have not watched it, seems like a silly yet entertaining anime about pretty girls working out. DanMachi, also know as Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? It's about a young man that works hard to become stronger by going into a dungeon and fights monsters. He only kinda picks up a girl once in season three. The name of the anime is kinda dumb. If I think of any other shows with motivational improving stuff I'll ad it later.

Evangelion
(Futuristic Dystopia where Mechas are used to Fight off Giant "Angels")
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
(Alternative Universe Germany uses Magic Transmutation instead of advanced Industrial Mechanics)
Ghost in the Shell
(Futuristic Digital Dystopian Japan following Special Forces Unit)
Samurai Champloo
(Samaurai nuh said)
FLCL (Crazy Style with Mecha mix)
Big O
(Dystopian Future, Dark City meets Batman who drives a Mech to defend the city)
Trigun (Old one)
(Futuristic Dystopia but with Wild West Theme)
Berserk (Old one(Prelude) then New one.
(Medivial Hack and Slash with Demons and Magic slowly brought into mix)
Cowboy Bebop
(Futuristic Space Cowboy/Bounty Hunter theme)
These are all short series in comparison but solid.
