Wanted to share part of my morning forest walk with the dogs, for some reason when I changed my phone to landscape it didn't record as I wanted it to and so because it is a natural video I posted as is so call me a retards or whatever.

I have 2 dogs, the goldadore is a complete hunter and the huntaway cross(just recovering from a double arthroscopy) is more the intelligent, playful one. It's very unusual that they actually go off and do stuff together so I was quite surprised to see them come back with each other, obedience normally is out of the window when they have a scent. The big goldadore (41kg) should have been either a sniffer dog or a gun dog. The huntaway used to have 3 hours of frisbee a day, he can't ever do that again. So it is nice to see him starting to come around to finding other things to do.

Anyway, hope you're all having a good Monday. This is why I feel good on a Monday, out in nature!.

Nice piece of forest. No offense but I don't like dogs or cats and I wish people wouldn't own them but obviously I'm in a very small minority.

Same here really, after my last passed(always had 2), the house just wasn't the same, too quiet and it really affected my son's mental health(which was odd as he didn't really ever go overboard with them), hence we bought the huntaway cross, then 9 months later the goldadore. Songs mental health is normal(whatever that is) again.

You crave company and yet don't like cats and dogs, you're very odd Queeri. You can tell a dog anything and it will keep your confidence, a cat will just scratch your eyes out and obviously you will deserve it. On a different subject, I am going to have to have my 23 year old cat out down soon, that will be a hard day, he's been very loyal.

I'm more of a dog person in all honesty as they aren't as independent as cats and basically live to follow you around and be loyal. I've had to have a few dogs put down as I've always had dogs, those days are very very difficult for me. That said everything in life teaches you something about yourself. For reasons I won't go into, I am a bit of an emotionless mannequin in relation to people and generally don't give a fuck about anything(wife and children excluded from that), but animals, good yes they pull on your heart strings when they go. I can understand your logic there and assumed there were more simple reasons for you not liking cats and dogs.

What is a huntaway cross?

A huntaway is a new Zealand sheep dog(bred for their bark, they work without human supervision often). As I understand it, the huntaway is used to move the sheep whilst the border collies herd them. It is not a recognised breed by the kennel club because the exact make up of the breed is not known. Mine is a cross with a border collie, if you can imagine a super intelligent dog that has to be constantly mentally stimulated and physically, both those requirements have to be met before he will rest, he's a lot of hard work and always has been, fantastic dog though, I have to watch him around entire males because they often try to dominate and he doesn't tolerate any of that shit, my other one the 41.3 kg goldadore is too soft, very predictable and never stands his ground, a gentle giant with other dogs. Sometimes I wish he would be more like the huntaway but he is what he is.

His party trick is finding 100+ year old bottles, I have probably around 75-100 around the house that he has dug out of the ground.
