I would put Russia's economic standing at an encroaching 2nd to China given that pretty much of the Western 1st world economy is operating on an inflationary and debt ridden system that, in itself, is floating on false employment figures...economies are not sustainable when the over the top majority is employed in the public sector ie government jobs...everything from wooden matches and shoelaces to footwear, clothing, household items and everyday integral items, is manufactured offshore by China or one of it's vassal satellites...here in Kanastan, since mid 80s, the "smoke stack industry", manufacturing/tool & die sector as well as Forestry, oil and gas, has diminished to the point where 2.5 million blue collar jobs have dissappeared, even the low life call center jobs are gone compounded with the 3rd world infestation that has sponged up (fast food) jobs typically performed by part-time students...the West has nothing anymore and it's not good. Just a point of interest, we're at a time right now where tire companies cannot find anyone to fill their needs and the offer of money and benefits ain't cutting it, they need good physically strong and motivated kids with common sense and practical responsibility, it's not there today.
The truth is not being told while the majority of people are too stupid to realize that something is not right.
