Stretching when awakening is competitive/anti-predator size display.

Pandiculation is stretching. I find no mention that it is a survival instinct display. It sure appears to be.

Anit-predator display: A million years ago a deer awakened by an approaching predator that stretches big and tall could appear larger or more alert, which might discourage a predator from attacking.

Competitive display: A big healthy animal is a more desirable mate.

Does everyone just know this already?

Do people really stretch when awakening? Seems like more of a meme from movies and television shows.

Check yourself, you likely do it half awake and don't think about it- instinct.

Or, now hear me out, fuckin or it's just your body's way of getting ready to fuckin move around? There's no reason for anti-predation displays when you're not conscious of a threat.

My dogs stretch when rousing by sinking down appearing smaller.

Evolution is kike propaganda.
