Also, why do theists think the atheist view means that life is meaningless? If anything life is even more precious because of the finite nature of the phenomenon.
Theists believe that we become immortals that are tortured or pacified for eternity based on our actions in life.
Lessons from religion that come in the form of psychology, fable, and real life examples is the purpose of religion in my opinion.
