“We absolutely called 911 during the entire event,” she wrote on Facebook. “We had no idea this man was in contact with our child again. He was waiting 6-9 felonies for what he did, not 2. He was looking at the rest of his pathetic life in jail, and our daughter was the only witness.”

“Some things we will never know, but we know that the police department afforded this predator privacy they did not give our family,” she wrote. “I’m deeply offended by the way this was handled by the county sheriff’s office.”

And they had a no-contact order (which I assume is like a restraining order) for the freak, which of course he broke- it's just a piece of paper. Steel is the only way to deal with these creeps. He was 67-years-old... this is a bit of a blackpill, but whenever I read a story like this and see that the predator is that old... it makes me wonder how many children he's victimized and never faced consequences for. I don't think this behavior suddenly starts at age 67.

Yeah, especially a 7 year old little girl. Kids, especially boys, need to be able to roam around outside without some creep harming them.
Thankfully I had lots of cousins and lived in the middle of nowhere surrounded by family and close family friends, and had lots of woods and fields to play in. It's a shame that most kids today, including my own, don't have that.

I know that you don't know this but kids can be sneaky as fuck. Your precious babies will lie straight to your face and hug you and give you a tender kiss on the cheek assuring you all is well, and throw in a meaningful "i love you." Even the really good kids. If a kid of a certain age wants something, they will find a way to make it happen. Plus too we now have to worry that every teacher, coach, class instructor is a potential diddler/predator/groomer.
