I watched it Saturday night and last night. It's pretty dang cool. It's very bright and stands outs from stars as it does not twinkle and is much closer to the horizon.

I am disappointed no one invaded this thread with a multi-paragraph essay about how comets aren't real.

Greedy. You had the eclipse too some months back.

We don't get to see cool space things down here. Not often.

what the hell was going on last week then.

we got this road nearby... glenfern i think, houses on one side, drops into a valley with a dairy farm on the other, people park up during the day, get all up on the property and take photos...

last... friday i want to say, about 9pm, cars parked everywhere down there like some big ass party was going down. someone complained to me they didnt get to see the lights so must have been that aurora australias kicking off.

I always miss the auroras (can't see anything anyway, too many buildings here.)

One of my sisters did manage to see the Aurora Australia back in April, I think it was. It was at about 2 or 3 am, wee hours of the morning.

All these auroras, while gorgeous, means Earth's magnetic field is weakening further. We might even still be alive to see the magnetic poles flip....
