Be careful when buying new headphones

submitted by Conspirologist to technology 6 monthsOct 14, 2024 08:20:14 ago (+10/-1)     (technology)

This is crazy. I have tried buying Sony headphones, they were defective and I had to return them. After I tried buying Sennheiser headphones. They were also defective and I had to return them. Both companies were top quality before. Now they are making junk.

I don't know why it's happening. Maybe because they switched production to India from China, like many others. I'm not sure, because I didn't read where they were made. Anyway, it's scary that top companies are making junk now.

It's because the customer serves the jew communist global corporations. Under capitalism the companies served the customer. People buy garbage, don't demand a refund, they just get more garbage. Self esteem instead of self respect did that to the shitty nasty groveling greedy customer.

My guess is since moving production from China to India.

Productions has turned to shit.

You're welcome.

Avoid ear bud headphones of any kind.

How come?

First, compared to over the ear headphones, they are a hygiene issue being in the ear promoting moisture, not being cleaned adequately etc. Of course like any headphone there is a risk of hearing loss depending on volume and I'm not sure if people are more or less likely to listen too loudly with ear buds. I've seen reports of both. But my primary concern is that they are bone conduction headphones so they transmit sound signals through the skull rather than air-conducted path through the ear canal like other headphones. And not a big fan of information going from one headphone through the brain to the other one. Seems problematic.

Ear buds are not bone conducting. Bone conducting ear phones don't go into your ear. This is what I found with a quick websearch. I appreciate the other points though, so thanks.

Thanks for the head's up; looks like I was misinformed on that.

bone conducting headphones are great when you aren't trying to block sound. helps to avoid tinnitus issues wearing ear covering headphones too much.

5G pressed against the brain with a moisture seal?
No thanks. I prefer watching the microwave.

Sennheiser sold its consumer audio business to some other company a few years ago, but the quality was already going downhill by then. I have some headphones from Grado that I pretty well like.

Perhaps they don’t deal with bongs?

Unless you need mobile, active noise cancelling, or if it must be USB to reduce EMF noise, try BeyerDynamic studio headphones - DT 770 for closed ears, DT 880 for semi-open, best quality analogue I've ever used.

Don't get any headphones with built in mic, it always degrades quality of both (EMF crosstalk + build quality).

I need Bluetooth ambient sound.

Ironically I just bought cheap headphones and they work great!! The future is stupid.

I use a corded Turtle Beach. My first pair lasted me for years, and my newer one is of better quality. I refuse to charge headphones, and the microphone works flawlessly.

The pleather ear pads on my son’s Rocat(turtle beach) headphones was flaking off. I emailed to rocat and sent me new pads the next day no questions asked fo free.

Good to know! On my old pair those had long since worn off, but they were still comfortable.

I'm often on the phone so I use those for work. There are no in-line controls to break, and the mute and volume controls on the headphones themselves make them absolutely perfect. I don't actually have to be handling my phone to adjust the volume or mute/unmute.

In related news, Boeing, who has been in the business of making and selling airplanes for about a hundred years, will be laying off 7,000 employees.

Because that's what happens when your airplanes can't seem to stay in the air, or land with the same number of doors, windows, or engines that they took off with. But at least they're not rayciss, right? So they've got that going for them.

dei kills both people AND industries.
