Forbes: Hackers Have Compromised the Wayback Machine, Stealing 31 Million Passwords & Simultaneously Launching a Massive Denial of Service Attack - The demise of the Wayback Machine means billions of internet pages have been removed from the public record .. yeah and it goes a lot deeper than that

Wayback Machine .. unresponsive!!

The entire image archive returned by the NASA Spirit & Opportunity Mars Rovers has been removed from the internet, whereas if you hit one of their links you are directed to a site with entry level Mars data .. in the face of that when you type the same link into the WM it goes to the same kindergarten site. Check - NASA Spirit Rover Sol 1359.

The whole internet is being tightened up in that there are very few places where anyone can post original material, while the destruction of the WM's purpose further constricts the knowledge base as that site's billions of pages are removed from view, as well the storm of censorship underway world wide appears to be part of the same enemy offensive.

and who might want that to happen?

russian script kiddies?

or left wing lunatics trying to push new science but have to somehow memory hole old science first while also conveniently baleeting all evidence of their antics with children and drugs, and all evidence of their election stealing.

the biggest difference between the last 5 years and wwii is there was no internet to pretend was spreading crazy conspiracy theory in the 1930s-40s and have to somehow sanitize and/or get ahead of 'unapproved information sources'

WE HEARD AND HEEDED THE WARNING SEVERAL YEARS AGO. AINT NOTHING WORTH GOING TO THAT EFFORT TO DELETE THAT ISNT ALREADY SECURELY BACKED UP OFFLINE SOMEWHERE

Every time we can't "figure it out" I'm like you guys sure are sold in not figuring it out. Probably because you found out and was told not to ask questions.

There is literally only one group of people who would hack this and want to rid of historical data.

This is how the Wayback Machine worked .. say you wanted to link to a certain site and found it unresponsive, you would post the link url into the WM search panel and the original page would turn up never mind if it was years old, no more!
