Following Germanic migration into the Ukraine, they promptly turned the region into modern Europe's bread basket during the czar period. How many Germanic-Ukrainian farmers had their entire inventory confiscated at soviet gun point during the Holodomor before ww2, or their great patriotic war? How many bellies in western and central Europe were fed while the people producing those crops died in the east, simply because they were German descent?
