Any commentary regarding this, or do you just like posting about jewish mythology?

One thing you have established beyond doubt is that no amount of commentary will make any headway in your darkened heart.

Dogshitwizard openly posts content promoting judaism and refuses to elaborate.

Way to go ‘uncle’, openly shilling for the “Judao-Christian” definition promoted by the zionists.

Oy vey. Fling a chicken.

Now why would you want to associate this set of Bible readings with the opposite faith?

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 7 monthsOct 12, 2024 12:02:47 ago (+0/-0)

The Torah is horrible. Jews are correctly observing Yom Kippur as described in the Torah. They aren’t opposite at all.

There is no chicken swinging anywhere in scripture.

They added a few elaborations. And they eliminated some of the animal sacrifice stuff. They (jews) are clearly following the mitzvot of Yom Kippur proscribed in the Torah and Christians are not.

Where do you get this stuff from, I don’t want to tar you with the same brush as UncleDug but Oy Vey Helena!

The Day of Atonement
29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
30 For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.
Leviticus 16 KJV

The temple sacrifices were fulfilled by Yahusha the Messiah at his crucifixion, and he currently ministers in the heavenly temple providing complete atonement by the merits of his own blood for those who put their faith in him.

Where do you get this stuff from,

The bible

ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

Jews do that. Christians don’t.

After Yahweh evilly strikes down Aarons sons on their first day on the job for using the wrong incense, moses tells aaron he should create a cloud of incense in the holy of holies so that Yahweh should dwell in it and commune with Aaron (on his chair on the top of the ark) and he has aaron sprinkle blood on the ark. He has aaron kill two calves and a kid and a ram and send another kid into the desert bearing the sins of israel. And then he was to burn all the bodies of the sacrificed animals.

Why does Yahweh want this disgusting paganesque blood-fest anyway? Oh yeah he loves the sweet savor of burning flesh. Gross. Why does Yahweh not communicate that the religion, which completely centers around animal sacrifice, should suddenly change centuries later and that Yahweh would one day grow tired of the sweet savor of burning flesh and no longer require it? I mean Yahweh loves to make prophesy doesn’t he?

Didn’t Yahweh know that he would one day change his mind and not want animal sacrifice? Why does he suddenly not want animal sacrifice when that was his main thing for centuries?

Because a person made up the Yom Kippur rites and another person decided the Yom Kippur rites didn’t need to be followed any more and neither one of these gods spoke for Yahweh because he doesn’t exist. Jews follow the first made up story but not the second. The second made up story, the christian one, is not consistent with the first story. The values and priorities of Yahweh have magically changed. The OT is still the word of Yahweh, but lets not take any of that too seriously because its all cancelled out by the NT. Not only is it suddently a completely different religion but Yahweh seems to have gotten a personality transplant — now he loves people, all people. Who is this guy? Will the reall Yahweh please step forward?

7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
Genesis 22 KJV

He knew from the beginning that Mankind would be unable to recover from the fall in Eden without His help. In His wisdom He has used these things to teach us what redemption actually costs.

5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
Psalm 40 KJV

28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
John 19 KJV

Christ's Sacrifice Once for All

1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Hebrews 10 KJV

15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Hebrews 13 KJV

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3 KJV

I am open to listening to your point of view on the Tanakh and how you think it fits in to a WN Christianity or whatever your ideology is. But I just dont agree that it is a source of “good morals” or the opposite of judaism as you seem to imply.

Worshipping any race is foolishness, whereas the torah teaches the worship of the Almighty creator of all things.
He never told anyone to go swing chickens around their heads, He did institute a system of temple worship and sacrifice to teach His fallen children about the sacrifice He was going to make in order to provide redemption for them.
