That's hot!

Yeah! People thought the IC engines heat up too fast ... china battery maker says "hold my beer".

[ - ] TheNoticing 3 points 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 13:30:43 ago (+3/-0)

Speaking of Chinese beer, I recently bought a six pack of Snow beer, which was *made for export" in China. Stuff smelled and tasted like Heineken, but I hate Heineken. Money wasted, dumped the other 5 bottles down the tub. China can't even come up with their own beer. 🤣

[ - ] Belrial 2 points 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 16:07:36 ago (+2/-0)

I found out Heineken intentionally skunks their beer for sale in the US.

Like hersheys

[ - ] BoozyB 3 points 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 19:02:43 ago (+3/-0)

Hershey's chocolate has a sour tinge to it.This sour flavor is the presence of butyric acid. Butyric acid can be found in parmesan cheese, spoiled butter, and ... vomit.

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 8 monthsOct 11, 2024 09:15:17 ago (+1/-0)

Don’t sully the noble Parmesan so!

And how does butter even spoil?

[ - ] NeverHappened 1 point 8 monthsOct 11, 2024 12:08:39 ago (+1/-0)

Pretty sure butter just goes rancid which means you can still eat it but it tastes bad.
Parmesan is the bomb.
Hershey's tastes like vomit.

[ - ] x0x7 1 point 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 18:02:31 ago (+1/-0)

Hersheys secret ingredient is sour milk. Or maybe sour milk flavorant these days.

[ - ] DoughGoy 1 point 8 monthsOct 11, 2024 01:24:24 ago (+1/-0)

They are hard to find, but the little mini-kegs of Heiniken don't have the skunk smell/flavor. It's probably my favorite beer. But I hate the bottles and cans.

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 17:17:49 ago (+1/-0)

Well duh

[ - ] zongongo 1 point 8 monthsOct 11, 2024 12:47:26 ago (+1/-0)

[ - ] Not_C 5 points 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 14:10:46 ago (+5/-0)

That's the new Ghost Rider movie.

They replaced the main character with a woman. And the bike was made by a diversity hire.
So you'll obviously end up with lots of movie bloopers like that.

From the folks who invented fireworks. Imagine his shock.

Your ISP is blocking the site

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 1 point 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 15:21:58 ago (+1/-0)

Happens with me as well and I use a VPN. Though the VPN's ISPs could be blocking too so I might just need an new nodes.

[ - ] puremadness 1 point 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 20:44:59 ago (+1/-0)

Its not his ISP, its the host being stupid about their SSL certificates.
It cannot be embedded, only the title link can be used directly and even that requires an exception.

Sorry bro, that website is well and truly fucked up, poorly set up and badly run.

[ - ] x0x7 0 points 8 monthsOct 10, 2024 17:54:01 ago (+0/-0)*

It's happening to me too. It's not the ISP. It's likely both of us need to update our browsers because there was a certificate authority update or something like that. The cert is up to date, and signed by pomf, but the chain of certificate authority isn't being recognized by all browsers.

I genuinely hate the concept of certificate authority. It's really a scheme to de-anonymize websites or else show scary warnings on users' browsers that they are being attacked if you try to use encryption. A self signed cert is 90% as good as one signed by a certificate authority. Certainly more secure than plain http. Yet if you run a website with plain http they don't try to scare your users with a big scary red screen.

Lowest priced, Commie china made, cut corners jew owners, on high-end high-powered electrical equipment you strap to your dick.

Seems like a foregone conclusion.

At least in the DIY e-bike market you can choose your parts from those that have been proven, ensure your parts are good through at-home testing, and keep the energies used in a sensible range while ensuring properly-size wires and properly-charged batteries with solid connections, breakers, and so on.

Fuck any of that up and you'll go up in flames though. Kind of like a car, though those have been around for a lot longer.

Waiting to see the specs on the new aluminum-graphene battery packs.

Lithium has always been just a tad too "explodey" for my tastes.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 1 point 8 monthsOct 11, 2024 11:53:27 ago (+1/-0)

Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries are supposedly much safer. LiFePo batteries if you want to research it.
