maybe it's alive :p
well, I'm no expert on this, so might be normal that in the eye hurricane can heat up, pulling hot air up, or something. interesting.

hurricanes are often "warm core" systems. because they originate from the deep tropics (sometimes it can happens in the subtropics too)

otherwise, winter cyclones like noreasters are cold core in nature because they either comes from the continental air masses or polar masses that comes down and form over the gulfstream

that's not to say that a cold core system cant become a warm system but it usually takes days over warm tropical water for that to happen.

in the case of milton.he came from the pacific side that merged with a decaying cold front that was coming down through the gulf

anything else?

hm. no you explained it great, only, if will be more warm, that could mean more rain?

but I guess one miracle in a day is enough, this beast could really be cat4 or more, and now seems will stay low. hopefully.

depends on how much humidity it has to work with. andrew was a "dry" hurricane because it didnt had much moisture to work with. so when it passed through miami dade it didnt cause too much flooding

Hot air rises > low air pressure.
If the difference between temperature between areas is big enough there is storm/tornado/hurricane.
