I took my son to see Linkin Park, with P.O.D. And some other band, years ago at ARCO Arena in Sac. While ARCO Arena was always known as “Echo Arena”, for its shitty acoustics (build for sportsball not music) I had seen other bands there that sounded good. All three bands that night were just too loud and our fucking ears were btfo for nothing. Then, the faggoty singer, father of two, offs himself.

Hey just caught this...

Might have been a shittier night than you hoped for, but, you got to hang out with your Son, so that was good!

Yeah, it was a good night, even if I was crawling in my skin.

Cool. Your son will look back on that, and remember the time he had with his father...

Had a typo in my post that I just corrected, apparently, I'm not so good with the Engrish...

Should have been "than" instead of "That"

Can’t recall what year that was. Probably around the time of the Ozzfest stuff, which I went to three times. Never took the boy though. That would have been better for his soul overall, music wise. He wanted to see LP, I just went along.

I bet seeing Ozzie was pretty damn cool! Did he have opening bands? Remember who opened?

Brother, you have no idea.
I first saw him at Cal expo Amphitheater in Sacramento in 1986 on the Ultimate Sin tour.
Blue Oyster Cult opened.
Now get this, the show had been postponed due to OzzY throwing his throat out a day or two prior in SoCal.
Metallica was billed to open for him and they are on my ticket stub.
However, that show in Sacramento was the last show for Metallica before they were to go on to Europe.
So, Blue Oyster Cult opens up for OzzY, great show, my very first concert ever.
Metallica goes on to Europe and the bus crash happens and the bass player is killed.
Had OzzY not hurt his voice and postponed the show in Sacramento, maybe Cliff Burton would still be with us?
Idk about that, but I do know that I missed seeing Cliff Burton on his last scheduled US date for the Master tour in 1986.

Other than that, I saw OzzY three more times. All three were Ozzfest tours and a bunch of bands opened, you can look them up.
One of the shows was a full Black Sabbath reunion!

How COOL! The Black Sabbath reunion would have been AWESOME to be at! What a GREAT show to have seen live! We grew up during amazing times, no generation after us will know how awesome our world was!

I have a young man in my employ who is a huge old school metal fan. He doesn’t wish to see any of these bands in their current state, rather, he wishes he could have seen them when we did and even before.

I agree, it's like watching an athlete in his prime, there's nothing like seeing a Band in their prime, especially when they unload a tune that is absolutely ground breaking versus everything you've heard in the past!!!
