youd be surprised how cheap they can be to rent.

youre not buying one, and driving it daily for long. you have the choice of not servicing it and it quickly turning to a smoky rattling wreck, (like the poor fuckin C300D with a P plate i was sitting behind at maccas a couple of nights ago) or going broke... you could buy a 10 year old hyundai every time you pay for a Mercedes/BMW/Porsche service.

Two types of Merc owners. 20 year olds who saw a cheap one that looked hot and said 'why not' and then realised exactly 'why not' very quickly by having to buy a $500 window switch and $5000 of other very very very basic parts before they can get a roadworthy, or them that can afford to buy one to keep in the garage and rent another one to actually drive.
