But, from the coverage, you’d barely know there was a ground invasion of Lebanon at all.

Where are the names and identities of all the Hezbollah commanders killed and captured on the ground?

Combat in complex terrain (cities, jungle, etc.) is a meat-grinder.
Losses in personnel, vehicles and other equipment tend to be triple what they would be in open country.

Ammunition expenditures also triple comparatively, because the combat tends to take place at very close range, with small units in contact going at it tooth and claw. The availability of supporting fires is also limited by terrain and the proximity of friendly troops.
