If they already retain those rights, homeowners should KEEP their mineral rights upon sale of the property. The fact that a property can be sold separately from the rights to the resources on that property is ridiculous.

It's about knowing which rights to assert. The state probably won't recognise natural rights, but the fact that rights have been asserted works to the benefit of the people who have customary use.

I have a hard time with the 900 dead claim. Something tells me this couldn't be kept from the news and that some politicians would be having a field day with such a claim.

Kinda like Hawaii with all the children and adults that washed to the island next to it, and nothing was ever produced to prove that.

I bet the death toll for this recent event is really high given the unexpected nature of the disaster in the area hit and the lack of preparation/ warning. If anything the media is minimizing and downplaying the entire thing. If you've seen any footage, shit is majorly fucked and I've seen barely anything about it at all on mainstream news.

I don't recall the story that bodies washed ashore else where in Hawaii. Instead I remember that it was mostly children missing and that bodies weren't recovered. People mentioned the lava flow caves all under the island and speculated that the children were taken for horrible things where they would have been better off if they had died, if you know what I mean.

This is something I belive. Florida just issued the largest evacuation order since 2017. Added yesterday Milton was to be a Cat 3 and now some models are saying Cat 5 but definitely a Cat 4.
