One of the longest wars in history, driven by religious and political factors, a French–Habsburg rivalry.

There are various different conflicts related to it (the Dutch Revolt, Mantuan Succession War, Torstenson War etc.) and shifting alliances and backstabbing France makes it a very hard conflict to follow.

But the mutual hatred between Catholics and reform Protestants was fuelled by the understanding or misunderstanding of the "word of (the biblical) God".

Whose side did God favor in this 30 years of hell? Betrayal, subversion, defenestration, the worst torture that only a psychopathic demon could conjure and apply to another human being, and on an impulsive whim the cold blooded slaughter of anyone who happens to be in the right place at the wrong time. I'm just curious as to God's reasoning behind his support for the "faction of Christ" responsible for the pure and efficient evil that haunted Europe for 30 years?

17th century Classical Europe and it's ordained destiny was destroyed by conflicting biblical beliefs, it cannot be denied. The repercussions are many but even to this day are not fully comprehended.

The 30 years war was a show of depravity and evil that either you participated in or met a horrible death if not.
Jesuits were heart and center of this war.
