Unless you have the power to instill upon the mob and those in your company an absolute fear, even after death, you will never be certain of a genuine loyalty from anyone.

I've experienced true commitment and comradery with bros of whom traveled the same path. The fear of a violent episode or incarceration, or worse, major legal fees was insignifiant compared to the loss of credibility and honor.

Today I see none of the "strength and honor" that was once at the core of fidelity. Everything and most everyone is so fucking phony and gutless.

Ask not what your country can do for you, just do it yourself. For the most part, having faith in your "friends" will lead to a major let down. People only respect what they fear, there's always conspiring thoughts deep inside the conscience and fear is the only suppressant.
