My Sony top headphones plastic just broke

submitted by Conspirologist to technology 7 monthsSep 29, 2024 10:52:01 ago (+6/-5)     (technology)

My $300 Sony top headphones plastic just broke. Other Sony users are reporting the same problem. I have also Bose headphones that I can twist as much as I want and nothing happens, because the plastic is high quality. My advice is to avoid Sony headphones at all and read many reviews before buying headphones.

A friend gave me his used "beats" headphones two years ago. They were used very little. I put them in my audio cupboard and just saw last month the plastic and rubber was tacky and stuck to your fingers. This was both the plastic parts of the headphones (the frame) and the rubber on the cable. It was like dealing with wax, as the surface would melt in your hands. Not sure who makes that shit, but it's seemingly all from the same factories. It seems anything "manufactured" by one of these fag companies nowadays, is total fucking garbage.

Sony and Bose are snake oil brands. Get a decent headset from a proper manufactur like Grado, Sennheiser, or Audio-Technica. They'll hold up well and sound ten times better.

I heard Sennheiser are good. Do you have more brands that are not expensive, about $200?

Sennheiser have a good range of cheaper headphones that don't have any bells or whistles so they can focus on quality from what I've gotten from them. Granted I only got the cheapest options but they seem to punch above their weights.

Hmm, I've heard good things about Beyerdynamic and AKG but don't have any experience with either. All of these brands should have sub $200 models.

According to statistics, the plastic will just brake soon.
