Does it get a bit lonely? Years ago when we were house-hunting me and the missus could have bought a place at some remote beach community but now, as a old man, I'm glad we didn't due to social isolation and distance from services. Living in town, albeit a beach is at the bottom of the road, means there are lots of stimulating sounds, not all good, of course, but they help keep you connected to the community.
