When I lived in the city, I would walk to the Mexican grocery store. Pick up a pound of ground beef for less than $2, grab some sour cream, a bag of shredded cheese, and an avocado. The meal was less than ten buckaroos and would keep me full for at least 24 hours.
Heck, could eat 5 McDoubles without the bun and a large coffee for six dollars and change.
