This recipe is my favorite. Ot's good as fuuuuuuuuuck.
The coke roast. 1 big roast meat A can of cream of mushroom soop A packet of onion soup mix Sliced Celery Beef bone broth Carrots Potatoes Onion Mushrooms Whatever other veggies u want A bottle of the mexican coke Bay leaves Spices
The best slow cooked recipes just has your favorite dry rub on the meat.
That’s it. No need for seed oils, as the meats usually have their own fat. Throw in veggies if you want, I never do - I always cook em separately if ever. No weird multi-ingredient sauces or packets or condiments.
I actually used to do that - but if you’re cooking the meat on the lowest setting for 7 hours, you are still getting delicious soft meat and not imo wasting that bone broth which is better used for boiling yesterday’s food into a quick 10 minute soup.
No water. Just meat. The slow cooker will pull all the fat and water it needs. Any meat. Pork and beef ribs cut into 7-piece sections and arranged upright. Nice chunk of boneless lamb leg. Etc
Usually spiced with salt, garlic and onion powder, pepper, gochugaru or sriracha powder or other hot chili depending on what I feel, fine rosemary powder (if lamb or gamey meat).
If I cooked a lamb leg I will leave the lamb fat in cooker and throw in more lean meat next day like beef or a full duck or chicken - all the spices and fat you need are right there. I’ve reused the same pot of lamb fat for a few consecutive days this way - drop the meat in, put on low, and forget until dinner.
I like to take a pork butt, poke holes all over it and pour a bottle of liquid smoke over it and then slow cook it for about 16 hours. I serve it on Hawaiian rolls with homemade cole slaw. It’s delicious and your whole house will smell amazing all day while it cooks.
Taste close to beef Roast if roasted Clean seasoned protein if slow grilled. I've had it many ways. Them coonass down there cook it up the best. Grinner is also great eats when cooked properly. Squirrel, rabbit and gamebirds aren't desperation proteins.
Yeah Ive had plenty of rabbit and squirrel when I was a kid. Used to hunt them with my 410 shotgun and bring it home to dad to make rabbit/squirrel and dumplings. Was pretty good, but kind of gamy. Never had raccoon though.
You can't eat Coon or grinner without through cooking due to fat content. Long cooking renders fat and makes them tender. I prefer twice cooked which is slow roasted on a rack and the heavily sauced with bold bbq flavor on the grill. Slapped on a corn tillia and munch
I just watched a video on how to cook and clean one and they boiled it for around 3 hours. I never thought twice about a rabbit or a chicken but for the life of me eating a racoon never seemed like an option.Thank you for bringing it up.
Try bluejay, robin, cardinals are all fine eating. Survivalist do just that. If you can catch it you can eat it basically. NEVER ATTEMPT threadfin/gizzard shad

Slow cookers are cheap and great for when you have other stuff to do. (Often cooking large meals when family's coming over.) Pressure cookers, whether they're the old-fashioned ones or the new-fangled and expensive "Instant Pot" variety, can do magic, though. You do have to pay a lot more attention to the non-electronified ones though. Air fryers also have their place but make sure you get one with enough watts for the amount of food you're making. If it isn't heating to a high enough temperature it's no better than a toaster oven.
Yea don't forget the most expensive McCormick 7 dollar packet of onion soup mix! Read the the ingredients on that shit, skip the can soup and soup mix, your recipe will improve.

On top of half cut red onions to elevate.
Poor in, not on. Beef broth , worchester sauce, some apple cider vinegar.
Add garlic, carrots, mushrooms.
Coat lamb in favorite spices.
Cover in tin foil, cook for 5 hours on low.
