I JUST DISCOVERED SOMETHING THAT I NEVER THOUGHT AS BEING A THING

submitted by Zyklonbeekeeper to HDLunited 7 monthsSep 21, 2024 18:11:25 ago (+13/-0)     (HDLunited)

I'm just taking a break, the fatigue of this "WAR ON WHITEY" gets to be draining. I'm relaxing on my deck, .22 Henry Lever Action by my side, beautiful evening and the fire is heating up perfectly.

What I discovered is that bears really enjoy URIAH HEEP as much as I do. I just had one bear move in perfect synch with a few beats to "Lady in Black".

The best film opportunities always come when I'm not filming.

I sing to seals to attract sharks to fuck.

Man, I love my Henry .22. A while back I was thinking about modifying the one that I had to move towards more of a detachable box magazine. While I love the gun and the accuracy, the reload takes forever. I've also had a couple of people drop the rod while putting .22s down the tube. The rod hasn't broken or bent too far out of place yet, but it's only a matter of time if you're not careful.

I stood on a ridge and shunned religion, thinkin the world was mine...

In 1974 went to Uriah Heep concert because I liked the album "Look at Yourself" in Baltimore. What a fucking shitshow fans dressed like freaks, tripping and only wanted to get high. Fans wanted the lights turned off and were screaming at the band, Uriah Heep had to explain they didn't own the venue and couldn't turn off the lights. They would have to rank Baltimore as the worst town they ever played.

I too am a fan of that same Henry rifle.

As you relax this evening, I hope you’ll conjure up a list of the things that matter most in life and take the time to appreciate them.

@Trope..."sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe"...I appreciate all that is not adverse to me.

The older I get the more convinced I am that bears are just the spirits of chill bros that wanted to be left the hell alone and walked into the woods.

They still intimidate the hell out of me, but I like them.

@Salacious_etc...my buddy from down the road dropped by tonight and sat with us, (me and the bears) he loves them, he says to me "everything that people think they know about bears is a lie" and he goes on about how as kids we were always told to beware of wolves, bears and whatever and how vicious wild animals are...I've had a family of Timberwolves here for 15years and have walked my winter trails with these big fucking Timbers right along side of me and have never been bothered by them, I've basically lived with bears for the past 20years and the only threat by them is when they dump on my lawn, I used to let them come into the living room but since the renovation the wife won't allow it because they do have a strong scent and they are kind of dirty, but I do let them come into my yard camp to visit when I'm relaxing in the bunk...these bears are part of the family and now as I get older I'm finding that the big problem with attachment is the inevitable departure and I don't like it...but hey this is life.

Maybe someday I'll get to live like a man from a Tolkein novel. Sounds like a good life man.

I still am not going to be casual around bears though, for the same reason I respect horses and elk.

Those Henry .22s are rather fun, aren't they? Load it on Sunday and shoot all week.

@SilentByAssociation...I love this little piece, it's a Golden Boy, I've got matching Henrys in .357mag and .44mag...I use this one for pigeon and squirrel management...it's really fun to shoot.

Bit of overkill eh

Very nice. The Golden Boy was my first firearm, and it was perfectly accurate straight out of the box. Really fun to shoot indeed.

A guy I work with said he used to have a Doberman Pinscher that road in the front seat of his 1969 hot rod Nova. The dog was just fine and didn't move much while rolling down the road until one certain song played on the radio. When this one particular song would play the Doberman would move his head up and down to the rhythm of the song.
This guy was a long haired weed smoking hippie type. The Doberman might have been a little high from breathing in the second hand smoke.
It sucks that I can't remember which song it was at the moment. It was one of those smooth rock and roll songs that was popular with the pot heads. Like something Neil young would have done.

Uriah Heep is pretty good though. If I was I bear I'd probably like his music too.
