why is it so hard to resell old clothing? like if anything depreciates in value its clothing

It can be worn once and look like new and it still be extremely difficult to sell.

I just sold two Carhartt work jackets on eBay for close to what they cost a few years ago.
I buy used 70's-80's Levi's 501 jeans because they fit me better and look better than any of the new paper thin crap.
