I keep my 1997 Shredmore clothes washer running because I hate computers in appliances.
If you're in the market for a new clothes washer with all mechanical controls and timer Speed Queen still makes one that is fully analog. I stick with the old Whirlpool design because parts are cheap and readily available.
no internet/no phone signal anywhere around and plugged into a generator that fucking washing machine still knew when it was Christmas and played jingle bells when the load was done.
