I was in a store during the day in one of these areas. Single cigarettes were a quarter.

So it’s pretty much a closed system? A black hole where resources go but there is no production or economy. Local government supports local farms, food manufacturers, and grocers but the products go to benefit no one.

If only these resources went to feed laborers and business owners. Even better: Imagine if the laborers and business owners purchased the products using money. Oh, it would be such a holistic approach to a proven and effective self-sustaining system. (Assuming the money wasn’t back by imaginary debt) and there would be little need for government intervention.
